This combination contains cefixime and dicloxacillin which are used for the treatment of bacterial infections. They work by preventing the formation protective covering outside the bacteria which is important for the survival of bacteria.

Infections caused due to staphylococci
Impetigo
Chronic bronchitis
Bacterial sinusitis
Salmonella infections
Urinary tract infections

Cefixime binds with the penicillin binding protein present inside the bacteria thus inhibits the cell wall synthesis process and thus the autolytic enzymes such as autolysin mediates cell wall lysis.
Dicloxacillin inhibits the biosynthesis of the bacterial cell wall by binding with the penicillin binding protein which is present inside the cell wall.

Cefixime-
It is about 40-50% absorbed orally
It is 65% bound to plasma proteins
It is metabolized in the liver
It is excreted via urine

Dicloxacillin-
It is absorbed orally
It is mostly bound to albumin
It is excreted unchanged via urine
